Terms of Use
Acceptance
By using coastward.app you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Educational use only; no advice
Coastward is a free educational tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. See the fullDisclaimer. You are solely responsible for any decision you make.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Market data is drawn from third-party historical sources and may contain errors or be incomplete.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Coastward is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including any financial decision made in reliance on it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload, scrape abusively, or interfere with its operation or security, and no use that violates applicable law.
Intellectual property and data attribution
The site's original text, design, and code belong to the operator. The projections rely on freely available historical datasets, used with attribution, including Robert Shiller's US market and CPI data, Aswath Damodaran's asset-return data, and the Kenneth R. French Data Library's international series. Those datasets remain the property of their respective authors.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party sites (including data sources and, in the future, financial-product affiliates). We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Any future affiliate relationship will be disclosed at the point of the link.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The specific jurisdiction is set at incorporation.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
